How to use the Discount Calculator

A 10% coupon after a 30% sale does not equal 40% off; it is applied to the already reduced price, producing 37% off. The calculator separates final price, savings and effective discount.

How it works

List price × (1 − discount) × (1 − extra discount) = final price

Most processing stays in your browser instead of sending inputs to our server. Verify important financial or contractual decisions against an authoritative source.

Step-by-step

  1. 01Enter the list price used as the comparison base.
  2. 02Enter the sale discount and additional coupon in their order of application.
  3. 03Review the final price, total savings and effective rate.

Worked example

INPUTList price 100; 30% off plus another 10%

RESULTFinal 63; savings 37; effective discount 37%

The rates apply to different price bases and should not simply be added.
